Awi stories - what they are?

This is a project that awi film filed by the Foundation Vodafone Czech Republic grant program VPOHYBU. We helped 200 000 for awi stories. The project planned to take 9 months, namely from February to November 2008.

What is its target?

Create a DVD with a 15-you the best stories on various topics in the Czech sign language (ČZJ), whose authors are themselves deaf, a native speakers ČZJ. And his main aim is to enable deaf people to develop their positive self-assessment in a meaningful leisure time. Further encourage deaf youth and adults to develop creative thinking and imagination.
Contribute to the preservation and promotion of language and deaf culture in the Czech Republic.

 

What is awi stories?

  • Serve deaf people of all ages as a positive identification model and strengthen their own self-evaluation.
  • For parents of deaf children's hearing, which will be one of the few DVD inspiration for communicating with their children in the visual language that is accessible to deaf children sensual.
  • Czech students sign language and English sign language interpreters for the DVD valuable material for upgrading their skills in the Czech sign language (each story is written in Czech translation).
  • Czech translation will be useful not only for hearing, but also for the deaf to improve the written English language.

What are the plans awi stories?

As you can see, in mid-March was an bankruptcy for the position of Narrator awi STORIES IN QA or "storytelling in ČZJ, you'll see the results of the text. In the following months has been preparing technical background and language corrections. Then will translate from Czech into sign language written in Czech. Then come to a series of final assembly and pressing the whole DVD. At the end of November is preparing baptism DVD, you are invited :-), to learn detailed information on the Internet.
